Qualifications

There will be 15 boulders (5 directions for women, 5 directions for men, 5 directions for both sexes). Competitors who have applied for qualifications can also climb boulders for recreationists, but they can not compete in a recreational competition.

There will be 15 different difficult boulders marked R1 – R15, the higher the number, the heavier the boulder. Competitors who have applied for a recreational competition must not climb boulders for qualifications during the qualification period and cannot compete in qualifications. They can try boulders for qualifications after the qualifications or in the next days.
Registration
You can register via the web page www.therockljubljana.com/registration
You can also register in the day of the competition or after the expiration of the deadline for applying online, but only at the qualification site at BOLDER SCENA, the price is 25,00 EUR. The first 120 of the registered competitors receive an official competition jersey.
Competition system – qualifications
Qualifications are open type. They are taking place in Ljubljana, at the Bolder Scena Climbing Center. Anyone who registers on the website https://www.therockljubljana.com/registration and who pays a fee of EUR 20 can participate. Registration will also be possible on the day of the competition in Ljubljana, at the Bolder Scena. There are fifteen boulders for the qualifications. Five boulders are set only for women, five are for men only, and five are common, which can be climbed by both men and women. Each male or female boulder counts 1000 points, but only if it’s climbed by only one competitor. If there is more than one the points are distributed between competitors who were successful. It is the same with the mixed genders boulder – the maximum of points there is 500. We will use the flash competition system, only the climbed problems count. Each competitor will keep score on a score sheet that will be given to them before the start of the competition according to the FAIR PLAY system. Score sheets have to be handed over to the organizer at the registration point no later than 19:35 on the same day. Results can also be recorded via the SMART SCORECARD web application (www.scorecard.info), but only for competitor’s own use. At the end of the qualifications, they MUST submit a score sheet with the results entered, at the place where they have been registered, otherwise, their results will be invalid. Best 10 women and men advance to the Semi-Finals. In the event of climbers with the same score – everybody with the score that still leads to the Semi-Finals will advance. More than 10 competitors can advance to the Semi-Finals ONLY if one or more of the invited climbers can’t compete. There is no technical meeting. All the information will be provided to the competitors before the competition in competitors folders or at the organizer at the registration or along with official results after the end of qualifications.
Recreational competition system
The competition is an open type. It will be held in Ljubljana at the Bolder Scena Center. Registration will also be possible on the day of the competition in Ljubljana, at the Bolder Scena. There are fifteen boulders with different difficulties set – the higher the number of the boulder, the more difficult it is. Each boulder counts 1000 points, but only if it’s climbed by only one competitor. If there is more than one, the points are distributed between competitors who were successful. Competitors record their own scores using their mobile phone and the SMART SCORECARD web application, so they must be previously registered as a new user via the online link www.scorecard.info. Only the results, which will be entered until the end of the competition (until 19.00), will be valid. Best 8 female and male competitors will advance to the finals of the recreational competition. In the event of climbers with the same score – everybody with the score that still leads to the Finals will advance. The Finals of the recreational competition will take place at the same place as the recreational qualifications, but with new boulders. The winner is the competitor that climbs the most problems to the top or gets the most zones in fewer attempts. The organizer of the recreational competition (Bolder Scena) will be responsible for recording the results in the Finals.
